~ Non fewer than one thousand unemployed persons were registered so far in Gajiganna Ward…

The National Directorate Of Employment (NDE) has begun the registration of unemployed persons in Gajiganna Ward.

Ward Registration Officer of the NDE, Mal. Tela Mustapha briefed the Village Heads and other community members in Gajiganna Town on Monday 24.04.2023 that the registration was for all unemployed persons of Gajiganna Ward irrespective of their educational qualifications.

He said that NDE was focused on addressing unemployment through its various trainings in skills acquisition, disbursement of loans and other interventions.

“NDE caters to all strata of the society from the uneducated to the educated.

The common thing amongst them is unemployment. The uneducated can be made to acquire skills and become artisans in skills areas of choice,’’ he said.

In their untiring efforts to bring enormous development and participate in all developmental activities, members of Gajiganna Youth Development Initiative – GYDI conducted a massive community mobilization on NDE and participated in the registration process.

During the mobilization, the Chairman/Executive Director of GYDI, Abubakar Abatcha address that the registration was free of charge, and stressed that the National Identification Number (NIN) was a prerequisite for the process.

He said other information required were personal details such as name, age, contact address, phone number, educational qualification and required skill.

He also said that one of the core mandates of the NDE was to obtain and maintain a data bank on employment and vacancies with a view to act as a clearing house to link job seekers with employers.

He implored all unemployed persons in Gajiganna Ward to ensure they participated in the exercise holding from April 17 to May 5 to ensure the registration of their information in the data base of the NDE.

Abatcha stressed that the registration would ensure proper planning for interventions and other opportunities.

While appreciating, the Ward Registration Officer, Mal. Tela Mustapha sincerely appreciates the gigantic efforts of Gajiganna Youth Development Initiative (GYDI) for their massive community mobilization on NDE and participation in the registration process.

“On the outcome of the massive community mobilization and participation led us to registered non fewer than one thousand unemployed persons so far in Gajiganna Ward”, he said.
